Gail has been a registered childminder for just over 5 years, a career that she fell into completely by accident, however, a career that she was good at, having found a niche and a passion for doing something that she had never had before.
To enable Gail to provide the best service she could and to enhance her own personal development she completed many training courses and before long had completed the Two Year Old Programme, NICMA’s Quality First and then in 2013 through NICMA completed the Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development. She really enjoyed completing these childcare qualifications and continued on to complete her Assessor’s Award.
Gail initially joined the NICMA training team on a peripatetic basis in early 2014, as an Assessor for the Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development and delivering core training. However, in November 2014 she took up the post of Trainer/Assessor with NICMA where her role has expanded to being involved in delivering a wide range of training to childminders as well as helping with the roll out and assessing of the new Level 2 Certificate in Childminding Practice and assessing the Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development.
